Quite a Few Queries on my Old TTM Successes (HELP!!) pt.1

Unread post by Filmbuffpaul »

Hi all,

I used to collect autographs TTM back in 1999 and am just recently getting back into it. I've gone through my whole collection, scanned them, compared them to examples etc and I'm happy as to the authenticity of the majority of them (I binned a few PPs and stamps as I don't see the point in keeping anything other than the real deal). I was wondering if anyone could give me their opinion on the following items. Sorry there are a few of them; any help at all appreciated though.

I've been to isitreal and autographworld for examples and signature studies so I'm pretty sure about the secretarials, but I figured I'd get some opinions before I do something drastic like bin the photos :)

All were received TTM in 1999 and I sent the photo myself unless otherwise stated.

Image
Woody Allen 8x10
(I think its most likely real but would like another opinion)

Image
Ernest Borgnine 4x5 (he sent)
(stamped or preprint maybe? I can't tell holding it up to the light)

Image
James Caan 4x5 (he sent)
(secretarial?)

Image
Michael Caine 8x10 (he sent)
(really have no idea, you can hardly see the signature on his shirt)

Image
Kevin Costner 8x10
(I believe it is secretarial as is the general consensus)

Image
Danny DeVito 8x10
(secretarial?)

Image
Faye Dunaway 8x10
(secretarial?)

Image
Karl Malden 8x10 (he sent)
(thrown by the fact that the dedication is in different pen to the signature. Autopen sig? Sec dedication?)

Thanks a lot everyone,

Paul

Hello,

I am no expert, but after collecting for nearly 25 years, and reading many interviews, autobiographies, biographies,
here is my thoughts, although I may be wrong.

Ernest Borgnine(good)
James Caan(not sure as difficult to get)
Michael Caine(his autograph has changed so much and also got more messy, but think good)
Kevin Costnor (secretary)
Danny De Vito(not sure)
Faye Dunaway(secretary)(never nice to fans)
Karl Malden(always signed, so good(think the dedication might be secretary)

hope this helps a little

regards

Sean

Thanks a lot for the advice Sean, much appreciated. I have a second batch of questionable signatures I might put up a little later if you'd be so kind again :)

Visited your site btw, you have some absolutely awesome successes from some of my favourite actors (Stuart Granger for one!). Such a shame the true greats have all but passed away.

Thanks again,

Paul
