Different Signatures

Ok, I see alot of people talking about signatures looking different from one another.
I have to say that when I sign my name over and over agian it looks different every time. because if you sit down and sign your name over and over agian you will see diffeences in all of them. So just because a signature looks different, dosent mean it isent real. When you get older, your siganture will look different, if you hurt your arm or hand then your signature will look different.
So for all of you out there wondering if your autograph is real or fake. and it looks different from another, dont trash it or think its fake because you may infact have a real one!

While your statement is, in theory, factual...its still for the most part, WRONG.
Your signature may look "different everytime" but its still quite the same everytime as well.... if it didnt, the bank wouldnt be cashing your check, and the observant waiter who actually checks signatures on the back of credit cards would be calling yours in as stolen. The reality is, your signature looks more similar in each signing, than it does different. It might not match up as carbon copy replicas of each other everytime, but there are similarities in your signature that makes it authentically yours.

The reality is, everyone has similiarities in their signature that will give a knowledgeable person an idea on whether an item is real or not. YES, there are exceptions.
I got an autograph from a hockey player last year, instead of putting his stick & skates down, he took the pen quite loosely & signed, it looks NOTHING like the dozens of other prior & since then examples.... That being said, outside of extreme situations like that, any autograph I have seen of his look the same, or have notable similarities that you can look at & say with confidence, it was very likely the same person signing it.

At the same time, its the lack of these similarities, and in many instances, outright inaccuracies in signatures that knowledgeable buyers/collectors can pick out in an instant on forgeries.

All your post is going to do is confuse and misguide, naive and inexperienced collectors/buyers into thinking "anything I see could be real" & they will get duped farrrrr more often than they will find a great deal.

I would not recommend any collectors out there to follow the OPs advice in the least. Its a recipe for a collection full of forgeries.

For on thing dont ever call me WRONG, because i have seen it with my own eyes! I have got inperson success before and when they signed more than one autograph for me I have got two different looking autographs from the same person. One being that the person was in a hurry and another they were signing abunch for people and wanted to get to everybody.

Where canadagraphs is especially off the mark is his baffeling example of cheques and credit cards. They are one off/ one at a time official financial documents, most likely contauning a persons ''perfect'',unrushed sig. You can't compare that to a celeb scribbling their auto 50 times in quick succession lol. I have seen it myself at sporting events, i got a fully legible sig, a person ten sigs later got scribble. Christian serratos from twilight has two different sigs that bare no real resemblence. Robert downey jr is said to sign each sig differently. Good post by the o.p :)

To any new members that might be reading, ebay is estimated to consist of 75% fakes, so even with all of that being said, still be very careful!

its great somebody knows what im talking about! Everybody on here expects to get the same looking autograph as somebody else did. And when they dont they assume its fake.

If you send somebody a letter asking for an autograph, and that person gets 40 letters that day they got yours. They are not going to sit down and sign PERFECT looking autographs! They are going to sign there name for the 40 people as fast as they can so they can move on with there day, they are not going to care about what the autograph looks like! or how big it is or anything.

I find nothing wrong with the logic and opinion/advice given by canadagraphs1 and for the most part I agree with what he posted.
I would also suggest that the OP re-read what canadagraphs1 post said. To respond to his post saying
For on thing dont ever call me WRONG in my opinion shows he did not fully read or does not understand canadagraphs1 response. He just has a different opinion and it was nothing to get offended over
To Jaffer you said

I for one have signed many checks (personal and business) and 1000s of CC statements and I can say that those least represent my signature, they are far from perfect (close to scribble) but there is always something in my sig that shows its mine. I also know for a fact that secretary's have signed the owners name on many business checks that my old company would take in. Those were the easiest to spot as they were the ones that resembled the owners unrushed sig. How do I know this? Flat out asking
