I got this response back yesterday. I used the email on his official website. I'm pretty sure it's authentic, but comments are welcome.

Hey, I think it is authentic. I sent him an email last month and got a reply. I got the same picture only mine was signed in a different spot.
Then I checked to make sure it wasn't an AP but the signature was subtly different so I believe it's real! :)
