hey I saw this signed cd by Lady gaga just wondering if its authentic? if an item is a charity item does that make it authentic? it says its from the promotion of her born this way cd?

I don't know about whether it's authentic or not but a charity item only means a certain percentage of the money used to buy it goes towards a certain charity, in this case 10% towards the red cross.

Do not assume because it says charity item that it is real because the seller (if they did fake it) might think that if they gave 10% to charity, people are more likely to buy it, thinking it was real.

So basically I don't know if its real or not but saying it's a charity item does not confirm authenticity.

It could be fake it could be real, the signed cd I have of her which is posted 2 posts above this was signed while she was sitting down taking her time. If the one you question was obtained in person she was most likely rushed which who knows what kind of signature she would give out. In the end I guess its up to you but I would keep looking for more examples.

The fact that she was sitting down doesnt mtter, it should AT LEAST resemble a little bit. The one in the OP is awful....lol.

It's hard to tell.. I have only got her autograph once in person and it was an L-scribble.. on a white tagboard piece I had. She signs differently almost all the time -- she makes an effort on CDs and Records though so I don't like the looks of this.
