Steve Young (NFL HOF)

Sorry for the bad quality picture. PM me for his address.

I've been wanting to know if it is authentic or not for awhile now.

You'll need a higher quality scan of the signature to tell. It does certainly look like the other autographs I have seen. Unfortunately, Steve's been rumored to have sent out autopens for a while, and there have been extensive discussions about this on other sites about this controversy.

Recently he's been doing all his autographing/ autopenning through his Forever Young Foundation.

Yeah, sorry about that. I'll try to scan it sometime, but I sent to his home address, does that still mean that it's auto penned?

No, not necessarily. In fact, autopens are fairly difficult to detect.

I know that autographs have been coming back from his "Forever Young Foundation" and there have been some APs out of that, however there's no way of telling that what you have is one unless you look closely at the autograph yourself. Is the ink heavy and consistent? Do the edges of the signature look mechanical and jagged? Compare the signatures to other signatures. Do they look the same?

Does this give you a better look? It seems good to me, but of course I'm biased.
