if a seller on ebay is offering a COA by JSA or PSA or PADA, is their autograph authentic?

No, no necessarily. It means that company has examined the autograph and to the best of their knowledge and "expertise" they believe the autograph to be authentic. If I do buy something off of ebay, it makes me feel a lot better if its been authenticated by PSA/DNA. I've never bought a JSA item. Steiner is even better because they typically sign it infront of a Steiner official.

If someone says they have "proof" of the signing and they show a photo of the person signing an item...make sure its the EXACT same item they are selling you. What happens is they get a photo of someone signing a certain item..then they forge signatures on duplicates of that same item and send you copies of the "proof" photo. So one item may be legit...but the other 100 aren't.

the best COA's are from Steiner, Tri Star or Upper Deck IMO. UDA has some of the nicest items I have ever seen. Most things with these COA's are signed infront of someone

PSA/DNA or JSA are 2 of the most reputable sources of a 3rd party authentification that are out there.

they go through so many i know for a fact that they make mistakes and pass off some items as authentic that are not.

if i buy an auto off ebay it must have at LEAST a PSA/DNA or JSA certificate. if it has both thats great otherwise its got to be something better like Steiner or UD
