I don't post very often but some recent research has made me question the authenticity of the signed items from Phyllis Diller.
I've noticed in comparing to many samples, she almost always starts the "H" in Phyllis from the top down, a downward stroke. All of her through the mail responses almost always have the "H" starting from the bottom, an upward stroke.

Also, she is an avid painter...take a look at how she signs her paintings, very shakey and again, the H is starting at the top, not the bottom.

Does anybody have any thoughts? I know there is often some variation in signatures, but I'm not 100% convinced she isn't using a secretary etc.

Well from what I know, her TTM's are authentic. Could be wrong, but I hope I'm write as she was one of my first ever success's
