Is this Elvis Presley autograph authentic?

Hi,
I'm not an expert on Elvis' autograph but I went into an antique store on vacation in Tennessee a couple months ago and came across this autograph of him that was selling for $1,200.00!!!!! :shock: I don't think it's authentic (especially since he only signed "Elvis" and with an exclamation point...hmmm) but I wanted to share and ask other's thoughts/opinions. If it's not real, I hope nobody buys it. :( Here's the scan: http://img502.imageshack.us/img502/3861 ... cation.jpg
Thanks for your time.
Sincerely,
gghi18 :)

Oh no. I'm not buying it. I saw it and felt certain it was a forgery and some seller trying to pass it off as real. I wanted to hear others feedback. Any Elvis experts in the forum? lol :P

I didn't think so either but someone is trying to sell it as "authentic" which makes me sad and frustrated. {down} Thanks for the feedback though!

Youre always welcome mate.
Anything Elvis just let me know I know his sig fairly well, but I always look away if its anything signed from his army years in Germany becoz 80-90 percent are fake.

Thats pretty awful. In my opinion, Someone who owned the photo just put a "Caption" on the photo as if to say they took the photo of him and " OMG I saw "Elvis !" " Almost like a modern day Facebook post, but instead they had it hung on the wall in their home. But then it was given away, or lost and someone misinterpreted it as an autograph.

Never know =)

Yes, I think it is unfortunate how many people forge signatures and try to sell them. It makes me angry! {down}

Elvis always connected the E and the L in his first name. It is one of the little details that most of the forgeries always miss.

Thank you for your input. I appreciate that and will keep this info in mind if I ever decide to buy an autograph of his. :)
