Hey,
This might be a bit late, but In late July I sent out my copy of President Bushs book, Speaking of Freedom, with a two page letter thanking for his service. In September, I received the book, with a bookplate from his office, authentically signed by him, with the inscription autopenned(?). Please give me your opinions on this guys! Thanks

This is autopen

Well, but on an autopen, the signature has a series of dots, showing where the pen stopped and started. However, here, as on authentic signatures, you can see the signature leave the page.t this most certainly not an autopen, it is authentic

That looks like the AP to me, but I could be wrong.

And the inscription isn't AP. Such a thing, if possible, would be completely pointless.

Those inscriptions are done by his office staff. The signature is an autopen signature--he has only one template and that is it.

Could you please post the template for the autopen? I have looked, but the autopens I see differ from my signature

Plus this signature doesn't match exactly with any of the autopens I've looked at, so I would appreciate it if you would post the template you were talking about. On mine, he also doesn't fully write out the u and s in his name, as I can see on the autopens I have seen

I believe that this is the autopen most commonly used by President Bush, and my signature differs from this
