Airship Hindenburg Collection: Werner Doehner success

I recently wrote to the 6 survivors that had - in a way or another -connections to the Hindenburg Airship (and with the 1937 disaster), trying to obtain at least 26 spectacular photos of the famous airship signed. I already prepared 20 frames and I also framed 2 newspapers reprints about the 1937 disaster. This collection will look great on the wall - just beside my 50 framed photos from JFK Dallas 1963 collection!

5 weeks after sending my first request, Mr Werner Doehner kindly answered with a small letterand signed all 5 photos I sent to him. He is the last passenger still alive that witnessed the disaster.

Doehner was eight years old and was travelling with his parents, Hermann and Matilde, and his siblings, 10-year-old Walter and 16-year-old Irene. The Doehner boys were the youngest of the 36 passengers on board during that flight. He lost his sister and his father in the disaster.
