Hi guys!
I just got a reply back from Dick Van Dyke, and I wanted to make sure it isn't a secretarial autograph :-| .
I am a huge fan of Dick, but I know he isn't an easy signer TTM ,so on early January 2016, I decided to send him my letter Via-Venue, to a place where he was giving a concert on January 16th.
I didn't send him an ordinary letter; I sent him a large package, which included:
my fan letter, a SASE, a picture and two small gifts I bought for Dick (a postcard with a note on the back, and a fridge magnet).
I know (because of the post website) that my package got there on time.
I was a bit surprised during the following weeks because I wasn't getting a reply , but today (February 24th 2016) I got my reply.
I got back my picture signed in blue ink. He only signed it, and didn't include his usual:
"Hi (whoever)!, God Bless!" dedication.
So now my main doubt (other than why has it taken so long ) is that if the autograph is authentic or not. :-| So please, say whether you think it's authentic, or a sec.
Thank you! And no nasty comments please!!
Autograph:
These are two photos of Dick Van Dyke signing; if you look closely, I think that his autographs resemble mine (What do you think? ):
In the 50 years he has been signing, there are a few variations in his signature, and sadly this doesn't look like one to me. Sorry, but it's probably secretarial. If anyone requires more reasoning, I can provide a few points, but he has never put a gap between the D and y and his last name. That's the first big error (amongst several smaller ones).

Awww what a shame What are the other small mistakes?? I think that in the picture I've uploaded of Dick signing, you can see he leaves a gap in the D of the surname, but I'm not sure, it's sideways and you can't really tell
The whole spacing is off in regards to length and fullness of the signature. Paying particular attention to the 'D' in both Dick and Dyke - his real signature is more flowing.
The more I look at it, the more I don't like it. Sorry - wish I could be convinced otherwise.
