Hopefully they are all priceless and cannot ever be sold. This is a hobby and people like you who do it for profit give it a bad name

That's an extremist viewpoint. One can have a Neil Armstrong WSS, uninscribed, or one can pay an unexpected bill that comes up. As well, dealers and hobbyists that sell autographs provide a means to get a person's signature - if you're a Superman collector, how are you going to get that Noel Neill photo now?
And quite honestly, there are some astronauts who started charging for their signature back in the '80s. So there's nothing wrong with buying or selling signatures.
But to get back to the OP: Don't go in this to make money. Because the majority of the time you won't. I can say that the popular celebrities of today, very few will have staying power 10, 20 years of now. Who wants a signed photo from "The Heights" band? Who? Exactly.
Collect what you love, not because there's potential profit to be made. But if you insist, look at autographs that have sold well or for high prices and ask yourself why they've gotten so much money. That'll give you an idea. No one can do research for you. This is not a get rich quick hobby.
