Tom Hardy SOS

Unread post by WKCAP »

Unfortunately this will not be one of the wonderful success stories with Mr. Hardy's fanmail as have been posted, but I'm really hoping a help call is also valid in this forum? I have sent three copies of fanmail, each with a different photo to sign and a pretty intricate letter, all to different addresses (one to Lindy King's UK United agency address, one a friend offered to send to the Animal Rescue NY set I believe, the last a friend offered to send to the Locke Venice Premiere). My first copy was sent two and a half years ago when I was 19 years old, unfortunately I'm not able to remember if it had a return address envelope as it's been so long, but I'm certain that at least the second one and most likely the third one had paid postage return envelopes. And much to my dismay I've still not received anything back :cry:

Recently I have even tried emailing Lindy King's agency and haven't yet received a reply, I thought it might be a good full measure, but bless them, they've probably been so busy and most likely inundated with mail. I am at a loss as to where to proceed next, I really don't have the heart to send a fourth copy and I've been torturing myself checking the mailbox six days a week for the past two years. Could it be because I've changed addresses twice? I've heard of mail being answered within a two-month time frame. This really means a lot to me as I've followed Tom's career for over a decade now as best I could, but I'm thinking reaching out may have been a big mistake on my part. Has anyone received mail back past a three-year wait, or should I just give up hope? All answers are most welcome, thanks for reading. :(

This isn't the best forum to post this... But DO NOT give up. Someone on another website go theirs back from 2 years ago. He posted on his Instagram how much mail he gets. Don't given up now!

Whoops sorry Hatsawayfan1, I accidently sent you a pm that I meant to be public, still getting used to this site. But thank you very much, really trying to keep the faith, I know he's been super busy as his star is on the rise, just sincerely hoping that my attempts haven't fallen into the junk pile. I'll do my best and try to keep hope alive, thank you. :)

From what his Instagram says he gets a lot of mail and you should always send a SASE and photo for a quicker response. It could've been your first request to the UK agency address got lost. The others, who knows if they even made it to him which is why you could've never gotten a reply

I would send again to his agency and make sure you send a photo and a SASE. GOOD LUCK!

Thanks for the advise vivalakayla, it's really appreciated. I can't be sure if I did everything right the first time as it's been so long, but I remember I wasn't altogether certain what I was doing. For all I know I probably frantically folded the letter up in a small letter envelope and let it go on its merry way. I'm sure I sent a SASE the next two times, but those weren't as surefire as the UK address so they probably also went over his head. If I do ever gain the heart I may try again. Thank you. :)

Yeah I'd definitely try ASAP. Seems he has been spitting out super quick replies so he must be in the area to do so! He said on IG he and his friends go through his fanmail over beer and pizza. :)

Did he really? Lol, I need to look on IG and IMDb more often I think, lol! I'm certain the first time I had no clue what I was doing, I just saw an address and hastily threw a sentimental letter and picture together, I think I really should have looked up the protocol the first time, that was a big mistake on my part :/ . But since he seems to have taken a break from filming recently perhaps one last attempt with all the proper information and such is worth one last try. {up}

Thanks for sharing your success story Obi-Wan, I think the Force must be very strong with you, lol! Congratulations! :)
Also thank you Admin for allowing me to keep this post up despite its rather melancholy desperation, I really have learned a lot from seeing these success stories and about timing and do's and don'ts and I think I'm ready to give it at least one more try. Thanks everyone. :)
