Peyton Manning failure-what gives?

Unread post by tyler4723 »

I'm new to this whole thing and was really disappointed to get back my 8x10 of Manning with a pre-printed little card. I saw a bunch of successes on here. What gives?? I was really excited to get it back in a week and wrote a nice letter, but totally bummed that the pic came back unsigned. Sent it to the foundation like everyone else did. Anyone recommend any sports greats that are a sure thing for a newbie like me? THANKS. DT

It seems he will sign cards, but I think a few people have had their larger photos returned. I just recently sent off a couple cards and a 4x6 photo, requesting it be personalized. We'll see what happens!

he has nothing to do with what he signs, it is whatever gets passed on to him. i have had 3 failures with 8x10s, 2 with cards, 2 8x10 successes, and 1 cards success. you eoither get him or you don't, it's not a matter of what gives...

Are you interested in just getting any autograph or are there "sports greats" that you are looking for because you follow their careers? If there are athletes you are genuinely interested in, do a search on this site or ask for help with a specific person. Good luck.

HOF'ers, Detroiters...you name it. I grew up in the 80's and am a sports junkie. I have mostly Detroit stuff with some others thrown in. Tried Bradshaw and Kaline with Manning and am waiting for responses. Joe Dumars is next I believe. If there are any all time greats from any of the major sports that definitely sign...I'd love to know. Thanks.

So what you're saying with Manning is try...then try again..until you get him. All at the foundation address? Thanks.

{down} Pretty bummed; I sent an 8x10, LOR, SASE about 2 weeks ago and got it back today unsigned with the pre-print card. I was really getting my hopes up, since it seemed like everybody has always had so much success with Manning. I guess we just had bad luck this time around.

Definitely going to try again, though.

Still waiting for mine to come back, but I just sent it last weekend. Sent with a check so I'm hoping it comes back like yours did above. Here's to hoping!!
