I mailed a letter to Rita Moreno requesting an autograph, but I didn't send a picture. Does this mean she won't answer back?

Not neccessarily, most celebrities have their own photos to send to people who ask for an autograph. Did you include a self addressed envelope or stamped envelope? It mostly depends on the celebrity. Hope this helps and good luck!

See, I'm not exactly sure on writing fanmail since this was my first letter I sent out. When you asked about including the self-addressed envelope and stamped envelope, are they separate from the one that I send first?

Yes a SASE is what you put inside your mailing envelope. This provides a way for the celeb to send you a photo. {thumb2} If you didn't send a photo or a SASE, I'd suggest writing again since you most likely won't hear back, But she MAY send one if she liked your letter!! {thumb2}
Good luck!

Sorry to bother you all again, but how exactly would you go about making the SASE? I apologize for these simple questions, but as I've said, I'm new to this...

What i do is put my address on the front and back of the envelope and address it to me. I also put a stamp on the front that has enough postage to get to me. And thats pretty much it. Just fold the envelope in half and insert it into the envelope addressed to the celebrity along with the letter you wrote to them lick it closed and viola thats it. Hope this helps!

Thanks again! I'll be sure to mail the letter again.
