I have a friend in New Zealand who is a huge in person collector, he has dealt with him and has stated he won't sign nothing. He is pretty arrogrant towards his fans. I wouldn't waste your stamps but good luck all the same as miracles do happen sometimes

I sent to him VV when he was playing several shows Nov 12, 13, and 14th.
Haven't got anything back and doubt I will - but I had to at least try!

During the 2003 NYC blackout, Bob sat in the lobby of a hotel with a bunch of hardcore fans for like 2 hours, just talkin' music and chilling. Someone walked up and asked for an autograph. Bob turned to the fans he was with, said "You see, this is why I can't do this more often..." and went upstairs.
A fan handed Bob's personal bodyguard an envelope outside of a venue. The envelope had a very personal letter, an album sleeve, and SASE in it. The guy got his envelope in the mail about a week later with a note in it from the guard. The note said that Bob refused to even open the envelope.
My guitar teacher's wife was once in a Barnes and Nobel in NYC. She turned down the cook book aisle to find a recipe book, when Bob Dylan at the other end of the aisle yelled "Don't come any closer!" She just looked at him, smiled, and said "Don't worry, Bob, I just want a book."
Try what you will, but know that the man is a total recluse (as any of us would be if we found ourselves the unwitting mouthpiece of a generation) and does not like interaction with strangers. If you want his autograph, you can buy a print off of his website for about 2500 pounds.

well said AxlSlash you hit the nail on the head, he does not like people around him and hates signing for fans

I have a friend who is one of the largest in person signers in New Zealand and he threatened him with legal action for just asking him

Has anything changed in obtaining autographs from him meanwhile?
Cheers
