Justin Verlander autographs for a cause?

I know that if you write to Justin Verlander c/o the Detroit Tigers, he responds saying he does not have time for a signature, however, does anyone know if he participates in the autographs for a cause foundation that the Tigers do? I know that the Detroit Tigers website says that you can write to a member of the Tigers and if you include a ten dollar donation and address the envelope with "Autographs for a Cause" on it then you'll get a signature back. Has anyone tried to donate and get an autograph from Verlander? I have a rookie card of him that would be well worth the ten dollars, if i knew it was coming back.
Thoughts?
thanks!

I think that all of the "Tigers for the Cause" participants send back a letter stating that you can get their auto graph through that program. As for Verlander- I don't think he does as I have also received the letter and it says nothing about it. What do you think about the signature on the letter though? I think it could be real or just a realllly good Pre Print!

Yeah unfortunately I don't think he does the autograph for a cause thing....but yeah the note sure looks authentic! I'm not going to count on it being authentic though until i hear it is from a reliable source.

Agreed! I will try and upload a pic when I have some time, maybe you could upload one as well to compare. I usually throw these kind of things out but I have a feeling it might be!

Good plan, i wonder if anyone else has a scan of theirs? Here's to hoping it's authentic!
