Sent to Phil Collins about two months ago and received reply back from his sec today saying he had hand surgery and is unable to sign right now. Also said that he has about 500 requests backed up and promised to get me a photo when he is able to sign again. Man that sux(not the autograph part, i mean that his hands are messed up bc he is a drummer as well as a singer)

Aw AND he is deaf in one ear.. how sad. Understandable though, and very nice of his sec to get back to you at all!

Indeed! His left ear. Its amazing how he's still able to produce music so efficiently.

It is cool that you got a note back. I got him a couple of years ago when he was working on a Broadway show in New York.

Yea he cant drum anymore either back problems its too bad

I think he's a legend and a real sweetheart for promising to get back to you when he gets better : ) When I heard that he's such a good signer (health permitting) I was kinda shocked. Fingers crossed he'll have a speedy recovery!

In a very request interview he mentioned his problem with his hand, due to years of drumming damage to his right hand, but he does still drum, not so often, he has the drum sticks strapped to his hands, but as he said he enjoys now spending more time with his children and relaxing.

Deaf nearly completely in one ear..
