If you haven't included any cost of return postage from the US to the UK then, unless he's particularly generous, I'd say probably not. I also live in the UK and, if I write to celebs in the US, I always either include some $$'s or I buy the Global Forever stamps on eBay and stamp my returns in advance. Good luck though, you never know ...
