THey are not a scam on vgoldseller. They kill stuff to get you the money (the higher the level the quicker). Mostly, for higher levels they kill dragons.

I had a success from him a couple years ago. It was a postcard stamped with his "last known signature". Pretty cool but not an authentic of course. It was his college office address in the database.
