I watched Gymnastics at the Olympics, but other than that, I'm not really a gymnastics fan.

I LOVE Shawn Johnson with a passion, I have so much for her bc she trains much less than the average gymnast, gets all A's, and does a bunch of commercials and stuff. She has such a great passion for the sport and she is always smiling and enjoying it. She is a perfect role model.

I agree, it looks like she really loves the sport. She's the only gymnast that I ever see that smiles before each event, which is why she's my favorite.

Hey all! I used to be a gymnast when I was 5. My Trainer (Dan) Said I had amazing talent and wanted to give me private lessons in hopes of maybe taking me all the way to the Olympics, but my parents opted out saying "He's only here to burn off excess energy"

14 years later I still keep up with my gymnastic skills and do regular weight training to keep me in shape. I'm not sure what ever became of my trainer, as he headed out to a bigger town 2 years after I started.

So yeah that's my story! I do love watching the olympics on TV. Dominique Moceanu Was amazing in her time, and still is today. Shawn Johnson has a LOT of talent and I'm sure will be very successful in whatever career she chooses whether it still be in gymnastics or something different.

Hey Ryan thats cool I used to do gymnastics too and wanted to take it more seriously but my mom wanted me in a lot of other sports. I used to love Dominique Moceanu but shes turned into a bit of a psyco lately. In the gymnastics community I belong to most hate her.

Totally agree with that! She seems like a lovely girl and she's such an inspiration

Aww that's a shame you didn't go for the private lessons! With great skills at that age you really could have gone far!
I always regret leaving, but I didn't have enough to keep going with it because I was sitting my GCSE's and A-Levels at the time. But I'm happy that I've started back up again now and I'm picking my skills up again so quickly

Yes, I kinda regret not pursuing that career, but my focus has now changed. My dream for the past few years is to become an Acto for either Film or TV. I found a website last week that posts local jobs in the Michigan area for "Extras" & "Background Actors". So I'm hoping to maybe land a few jobs this year is any films will be doing on-location shooting near me.
