Randy must sign every other day. Seems like he's on top of it!

My friend used to date Ryan Couture, so she went over to Randys house for a few holidays and said that Randy was always extremely friendly.

Sorry missed this post! Yes for cards I used a pwe with just one stamp on the sase. This is usually good for up to 5-6 cards. If sending a thick relic card, I added twenty extra cents for no machine. I also print out my sase so I don't have to write them. I use the small sase that's like 3.5 x 6 or something close

Do you just mail them in another pwe and fold them or something? The machines dont damage them?

What I do is the following:

I print out my letter, tri fold it. Then put two index cards on the outsides of say 3 cards, then tuck them into the flap of my smaller SASE. I then put those items within the tri fold of the letter and then slide that into a 4x9 envelope or whatever the dimensions of the slightly larger envelope are. Occasionally, the machine will damage some cards, but not too often. I send out maybe 1200 requests a year this way, and get a few back damaged.

What peeves me, is sometimes I put the extra non machine 20 cent stamp on it and write all over it NO MACHINE, DO NOT BEND, HAND CANCEL, and it still goes through the machine. I've done this maybe 10 times, and probably 8 of the 10 times went through the machine... I stopped doing that now.

I more or less do the same thing. I usually either send one or two cards.

When I send 1 card, I put my letter, the card, and a No. 6 3/4 (3 5/8" x 6 1/2") SASE into a No. 10 (4 1/8" x 9 1/2") envelope. One stamp on my SASE, one on the outer envelope.

When I send 2 cards, I use the #10 as my SASE (1 stamp), and use a 6x9 envelope as my outer (2 stamps) I do this because I attach the two cards to piece of cardboard. So it makes the whole thing a little bulkier and heavier.

I haven't gotten every TTM I've ever sent returned, but I don't think it's because of how I'm sending them out.

Adding to Mike's post...
Bigger is Better.
Envelopes smaller than 11" x 6-1/8" require only 1 stamp if they are not over the wt limit.
(I send up to 5 cards w/5x7 letter & trifolded #10 SASE w/no issues)

I like to use 6x9 manilla envelopes (8 for $1 at the Dollar Tree) for ttm that matter more to me.
And when it matters most I send my ttm in a 9x12 manilla so it has the best chance to be noticed & returned.
Normally I'm sending 3-4 cards in a #10 envelope w/1 stamp and a trifolded #10 SASE inside.

Yeah, if you take your TTM up to the clerk they are going to think its too rigid for the sorter & will want you to add a $.20 stamp ($.66 total).
Blah! Just toss them in the stamped mail slot.
The only cards that come back damaged are thick gold, Topps Knockout, and/or relic cards.
The "damage" is commonly a slight crease where it bent thru the sorter.
