Phillies take opener. The game could've gone either way, since the matchup was pretty even.

The next few games will lean towards the Yankees' favor, but I wonder if A-Rod has gone back to his old October ways. He went 0-for-4 with 3 strikeouts.

Another 0-for-4, 3 strikeout performance by A-Rod.. if he can't pick it up, I can see the Phillies winning it.

Yankees won, but it probably wasn't much of a surprise.. A-Rod finally hit a home run, one that barely made it out of Citizens Bank and needed a video review, but a home run nonetheless.

I think Yanks will take tomorrow's game as well, the pitching matchup is just too lopsided - Sabathia and Blanton. I'm surprised the Phillies aren't sending Cliff Lee out there.

Well, 3-2 and heading back to Yankee Stadium. If the Yanks win tomorrow, looks like that "win it in 6" prediction will ring true.

Much as I don't like their freespending ways, they did deserve this one. They got the hits when they needed them, and they just played it smarter.
