The note card was done TTM. The picture of the always-famous head kick was done at a private signing two weeks ago.

Got some stuff from a guy in Poland. He attended the Cro Cop vs. Gonzaga fight.

So the TTM "gods" have decided I only get TTM back on Mondays?? haha

Clay Guida
c/o HOME, Volo, IL
3/3 Topps (kept the 3 I sent for him to keep)
31 days

I was surprised Clay's blue marker failed me on 2 my cards. (he's always signed w/bold markers in the past)
I'm happy the Topps Finest refractor came out bold; but let down the 2014 Champions didn't.
The one on the left (Finest base) is now a duplicate. I was hoping to get an upgrade from the 1 I had signed before.

MONSTER for me today!
I've been trying to get this guy for a few years & became even more desperate after my buddy got him back TTM for his set & didn't get mine back; we sent to the same address at the same time.
Those "failures"sting ;) haha

So! Wednesday, May 6th brought:

Caol Uno
c/o Uno Dojo - Omori
Gold's Gym South Tokyo Annex
2-4-1 Sannoh Ota-ku
Tokyo, Japan 143-0023

2/2 Topps
33 days

Only need (3) of the (180) 2010 Round 4 base set to get signed!!
DHK, Brad Blackburn, & Brock Lesnar are all that remain for me.
I hope to score DHK 1 or another when he's in town for UFC187.

Odd to get a TTM on a Wednesday... even more odd to get TWO TTM returns on a Wednesday.

Besides the Caol Uno, Wednesday, May 6th brought:

Dan Henderson
c/o DH Fitness Center
3/3 Topps
36 days

Very cool that you only have 3 to go. Brock is going to be tough unless there is a private signing. I can't see how Blackburn has been the white whale. DHK will sign for sure - will be great set man..

Question for veteran collectors

Unread post by DaRRinS »

I had a quick question for some of the veteran collectors...
I have noticed, as I have scanned through some old posts, that collectors talk about their "2nd" and "3rd" attempt to reach fighters (sometimes even at the same address). What I was wondering is...do you normally send out another attempt AFTER you have gotten "RTS" or received an envelope back unsigned? Or do you just wait a certain amount of months (like 6 or so) and if you get nothing back, you just re-send to the same address, hoping that maybe the previous time it got lost in the shuffle and this time they might get to it. I have heard that getting returns is like 75% timing, so I could see the logic there.
I am not getting impatient or complaining by ANY stretch. I feel I have been very fortunate in the small amount of time I have been collecting. I was just curious was some of you with more experience than me had to say.
Thank guys!

For me I will resend when a fighter lets me know that he never received my TTM or they say my TTM was signed/sent back & I never got it (i.e. lost in the mail)
Other times I will resend after a long wait & I feel it's appropriate to try again & mention that I'm trying again in my letter.
I don't have a time frame or schedule for resending.
