Question about American Football - Meeting Team

Unread post by Selise »

Heya,

Most of you probably know that I'm not really into collecting sports, so that's what I'm posting here.

My mom is turning 65 this year, and for her birthday she's requested that the only gift we give her is to take her to a Jets game (she's a die-hard fan and never been to a live game) and she wants to meet some of the players. Getting the tickets isn't a problem, but how would I go about her meeting the players?

Anyone have any clue? I appreciate any and all help.

Seeing that anyone who might know hasn't answered, I'll give it a try. I don't know much about football, but in MLB baseball it is really tough to try to come in contact with the players at home. You might have a better chance going to a game on the road and finding out where the visitor player entrance is and wait there for players to show up. Or better yet, attend a training camp practice instead of a game.

You could e-mail the Jets and ask about their policy of meeting the players at training camp, at home, and on the road. Just go to their web site and look for contact info.

Yeah, I don't think thats going to happen at a football game. Its more likely for baseballl or basketball. Sorry for the bad news, but this doesn't mean that you can't you might just need to do yyour research and make some phone calls.Good Luck

Most teams have 'Ambassador Programs', so while it wouldn't be a current Jet, you may be able to contact them through their website about having a former player make an appearance- for a fee...
