What do the baseball fans on here do on opening day??

I will never work on opening day of baseball season. For the most part it's baseball all day long. Most years I am in another city watching the game. This year it'll be Washington to see the Nationals/Braves game.

Last year I travelled to Erie, PA to attend the opening day there vs Altoona. My hometown team didn't open until two days later and being a Pirates fan it was nice to watch the AA affiliate play.

This year I'll probably just attend the local AAA team's opening day. It's on a Saturday, by the way. I'll be graphing pre- and post-game, of course. That and getting re-aquainted with the friends I've made there over the years.

Im still in school, so I am unable to travel very far to go to MLB games, but the past couple years, ive convinced my parents to let me out of school a few hours early so I can go see the Syracuse Chiefs(AAA Nationals) play opening day. This year, they start the year off with 6 away games, so their home opener is on 4/13 at 2:00. Im probably going to go this year once again, and get autographs before and after the games.

I make an effort to go to the Indians home opener every year. I used to go with my mother (a long time Tribe fan) and then with my mother and son. Now my son and I go. Of course recently (the last several years) we have added a trip to the rock & roll hall of fame to our itinerary.

I went to the stadium in Cleveland a few years ago. It's a very nice place to see a game.

That reminds me. Prior to opening day I should be going to Cooperstown to buy my tickets to the annual old-timers game. I could buy them online, but the purchase of the ticket will include admission to the hall so it's worth the trip. They usually have someone there handing out doughnuts and signing for the fans. Two years ago it was Mike Pagliarulo and last year Paul Blair was there.

Sounds like a great time. The Hall is an amazing place to visit!

Phils score 3 in the ninth to win 5-4. Wish I was there!

The Cleveland Indians home opener was a nail biter of a pitchers duel until the top of the first inning.

Terrible weather in Washington... Two rain delays, hail, cold and windy.

Still wouldn't trade opening day for anything else!
