England fans were today advised to sing their football chants/songs in German so as to not offend the host nation.

How ridiculous is this?

theres only gonna be two songs this year anyway, three lions and the mighty 'hurry up england' (http://www.virginradio.co.uk). the people who are going to be singing them in germany probably wont even be able to speak english by the end of it let alone german

Why are the English officials so scared of our history? We don't have to worry about upsetting the Germans becuase we beat them, does that mean if Man U beat Liverpool, all Man U fans must only sing in a Liverpool accent?
