Does anybody know if Gretzky actually signs, or does he send pp? I want to know because I would really love to get his autograph for my son.

I've seen him send Stamped, preprints and autopens through the mail. Tough autograph to obtain through the mail.

That's exactly what I figured. I didn't have any success a couple years ago, but I was hoping it had changed.
My school holds an alumni night at a Phoenix game every year, so maybe if he's still there next year...

I sent him a card to the coyotes, i got it back signed in Blue Sharpie but the return address was from his house in LA. I know it is not an autopen because it was my card and you can see the streak lines from the Sharpie.

I've seen a couple times where Gretz sends an autopened coyotes card. I guess it varies when you send to him.

An Autopen is a machine that holds the pen and signs the autograph, so its still highly likely that you received an Autopen.

Nah, you can tell it is real. And I doubt he has a machine at his house that signs all the cards for him.

i sent an email to WDG.com and got a postcard signed. I'm sure its authentic because theres a small decal on it that says WDG AUTHENTIC and thheres a smudge on the end of Z. I realize how easy it would be for someone to just sign it anyway, but it matches perfectly and i believe the great one is a better person than to say its authentic, even though its not...
