Which is better: Ebay charity auction or a local one?
Do people get more feedback on an Ebay charity auction or a local one? I was looking on Ebay at different autographs that are being auctioned and it doesnt look like people were really interested, maybe I wasn't looking at the right thing?

I sell all my autographs for charity on ebay. I have been selling since September and have raised about 800 dollars for my charity. I think ebay is really good for selling autographs because that way people from all over the world can see what you have to offer.

Hi guys!
I agree, eBay is great for reaching a wide audience, and generating funds quickly. However, I would say that if you get some particularly rare donations - from 'A' listers for instance - I would look at the possbility of auctioning them at a proper auction house.
You will have to pay a commission to the auction house, but you are far more likely to reach their actual value if you put them into a specialist auction.
The most I have ever sold an autograph for on eBay was £280 (US$550). Anything much above that will probably have to go to a specialist auction as many buyers are wary of paying large sums for autographs on eBay, due to scammers.
Hope this helps!
