Hey people, you should rarely trust Ebay members unless they have been verified by the UACC.
On the grounds on whether you could get a signed script - it's always possible! Some celebrities are more than happy to provide signed scripts/clothing/pictures/balls/etc - but you have to say in your letter who you are collecting for and how are you going to make the money and why you are collecting for that charity. I collect for a local charity Air Ambulance service and I give my autograph donations to a local radio auction and autographs can raise a lot of money and I mention exactly which charity and when the auction is - if I don't then they may think I'm one big fake so you need proof to be legit.
However if you are planning on just raising your own money from Ebay and giving your chosen charity the profits then they may be a little more wary as there are some greedy people out there who pretend to be raising money for a charity when instead they are pocketing it!
The best way of getting a script by representing yourself as legit is to contact your local branch of the charity and ask whether you could be sent some headed offical charity paper to send your requests on. I asked for this from the charity and instead they sent me about 20 letters of authenticity to show that I was legit and I just included one letter in each envelope along with my request.
I hope you have understood all of this...if you need any of this clearing up...don't hesistate to contact me!
Good luck!

It would be more professional if you wrote to them and provided an SASE so they could send you some headed paper. I'm not sure where you live but phoning them puts you in contact with someone and they'll talk to you about what you're planning to do etc...but email is also a possibility - it just won't seem as professional but it does mean that you would get a quick reply! It's up to you what method you use.
