Suggestions?

Unread post by Andy123 »

Hi,

I plan to start auctioning signed items on eBay, with all of the money raised going straight to charity (eBay has a pretty cool way that you can do this). I am here to ask you if you have any suggestions of celebrities that I could write to, to get signed items from. I am located in the USA, and the charity/ies that I am going to do this for are going to be animal charities. So, animal rights celebs may be especially popular.

ANY suggestions of celebs/influential people in the USA would be very appreciated. I saw someone that had letters out to 1100 different people, and I can barely think of 11.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Hi there,

I am based in the UK and I have been collecting for an Animal based charity since February. I have been writing to all sorts of celebrities, the only celebrity based around animals I could think of was Rolf Harris. I wrote to him and he kindly donated a signed book to go towards my charity auction. He famously presented Animal Hospital back in the 90's.

Hi!

I'm doing the same thing. I'm going to be donating whatever I raise to the ASPCA's Equine Fund.

I would suggest just going through magazines and looking at celebs. Google some too.

Hayden Panettiere (sp?) does a lot of work for animals.

Also, I was wondering, if the money goes to a charity, what does Ebay do different?
