Using LiveJournal or Blogger

You might have seen me posting around here wanting to fundraise for my library. As I've been advised to do local things and I'm not really sure I want to do that, I've decided to try something different for my first time. As of now, I will be donating all proceeds to ASPCA's Equine Fund. It's something I support and I'm really excited about doing it.

The thing is, I'm not sure where to do the auctioning. I was thinking of Ebay but their fees are so high, even for the Charity Auctions.

I've seen some on Blogger but I'm a little iffy about using that because there's no real way to verify who bids.

LiveJournal seems to be the other and best option. There was an auction on there not too long about and it raised TONS of money for Gay Marriage Rights. I was thinking of doing that but I'm still not sure.

Any suggestions?

I've never used livejournal for an auction, but I was planning on using that, since I can't use ebay it's so expensive and I had good experiences selling stuff on there, but if anyone has used livejournal for charity auction I would love more info too. I was planning on using livejournal and then starting a website for my autographs with a selling section saying it's for charity, and with pics of what autographs I'm selling to basically get the word out more.

You could also consider using ebid (www.ebid.net) which is another legit auction site but has zero listings fees.
