High School Band Fundraiser

I am the treasurer and PTO President for our local high school. The County School Board took away what little funding they use to give us. Our band students have to sit in metal folding chairs, practice outside in the heat and muddy field, use damaged or borrowed instruments. The timpani they use is a 1958 model. Despite all of this they have won over all in competitions. This being said, our band program is in need of new instruments, and a fine arts building. We have to perform at local churches, because we are the only high school that does not have a fine arts building. I started a new fundraiser. We held a "Rock Concert" for the students and public of our area. Local bands, and 2 bands from out of state performed for free. (They gave back their talent to help future music artist.) We raised a little over $1,000.00. This did help us make a down payment on uniforms for the incoming freshman students. I want to do a Big Back to School Music Festival to try and help raise money so we can provide these kids with new instruments, uniforms, etc....... I would love some advice on how to get more famous artist to help our band program. I also would like to know more about how to obtain famous artist pictures to raffle off. We are in dire need of help to keep our program going. I am a hair stylist, but I do alot of volunteer work for the school, and I also teach classes at local hospitals for The American Cancer Society. I know I have the chance to touch more lives in oneday, then most people do in a lifetime. I am in hopes that I will be able to touch all these kids lives with the help from others. I would greatly appreciate any advice you can give me.
