Hello

My crazy cousin and i have decided to trek the great wall of china to raise money for charity. we will be raising for world cancer research fund, they are part of a global network of charities that are committed to preventing cancer. they fund cutting edge scientific research and provide people with the information they need to reduce their cancer risk. we are also raising for cancer research uk who are the world's leading charity dedicated to beating cancer. their research has been at the heart of the progress that has seen survival rates for cancer double in the last 30 years.

Last year at the age of just 28 my cousin was diagnosed with cervical cancer and she has been luckt to have had it dealt with quickly and is now cancer free. We have decided we want to give something back to the charities that work so hard in helping sufferers deal with their cancer. We also feel that prevention is better than a cure, so anything that we can find out about stopping this terrible disease before it starts is definatly worth our time and money. We have also had family members not be so fortunate so it feels even more important to try and do something.

so now the important bit, over the next 12 months we are organising events, auctions and sponsership before our trek. 100% of monies raised will go to the 2 charities.
We hope to be able to auction off some fantastic prizes and are hoping to receive some autographed pictures or anything else a celebrity would be good enough to donate, to auction off.

anyone think somehing along those lines will help get us some things? i will probably hand write them ll...i think i am struggling to find a good way to ask with out sounding like i am creeping lol.
