Hello everyone!

I am having a fundraising event with Auction/Raffle for Autism Speaks. I sent a request letter with a self addressed and stamped envelope. Keep in mind in the request I let them know it was for a Autism Speaks charity.

I sent out 70 letter on Jan 30 and this is what I have gotten in the past month.

• Dan Marino-Said no. Got a letter saying That they only donate to charities that focuses on Children with disabilities….yeah I’m not sure they took the time to look into Autism Speaks since that’s exactly what they do lol
• George W. Bush-Sent a letter saying that unfortunately they could not grant my request at this time
• George Lucas-Got a letter saying the he could not at this time
• Hugh Jackman (RTS)

I'm pretty sure Autism is a disibility. He probably didn't even read your letter.

I sure it is! My son has it! I'm sure he didn't even look at it. I found it so odd because I was so sure he would be a success since he has a son with autism

Can you post which addresses you used to get these autographs? I am trying to raise some funds for a Digital Arts Computer Lab and would love to send a letter to some of these stars as well!
