COA
I have a question, I got some autographs for my charity auction and if I sell them on Ebay I don't know if I will get a bid or not. But they are real so I was wondering how in the world do I get a COA? I have a feeling I won't be able to.

Hey vivalakayla
Generally speaking, celebs or their agents will send a letter or note with an autograph to confirm its authenticity.
It is this you use to prove it when you auction it
It is not advisable to try to get COA's at a later date - unless you are willing to pay an expert to evaluate the autograph.
If you are planning to auction the autos you posted on the link below, I would just mention that they appear to me at least to be pretty dodgy looking. From experience they are just too "shakey" to be genuine.

Sorry, just my opinion, but good luck!

What I would say is that if you write a decent request letter explaining your charity then on the whole most celebs/agents will send you either a COA, or a letter mentoning the autograph.
You can then use this letter as your COA.
Hope this helps!

Some celebs are a bit wary about ebay.
I had Ewan Mcgregors agent ask me how i was intending to do the auction.
If it was to be ebayed i don't think i would of got anything.
Mark Knoppfler won't sign post requested autographs because of so many ending up on ebay.
I think you will have to stress on the headline and in the description that you are doing this for charity.
Also see if the charity you are doing it for cna email you a letter of introduction or intent.
That might help to raise a bit more money.
As i have found that even buyers are getting cautious about by signed photos on ebay as there are so many fakes on there. Would like to see ebay police this more strenuously.
But good luck.
I hope you raise a fortune.
Oh by the way listen to any advise Ian gives he is an old hat at this.
