wee bitty advice needed

hi folks,

i would like to pick some of you nice fundraising folks brains for a minute, what it is, my dads friends grandson is having to go the usa for specialized proton treatment for a brain tumour for 3 months so to help fund this i was looking to organise a charity auction, as such it is not a registered charity so how do i go about convincing those i am going to write to that i am genuine.

And lastly do you know of any online payment companies that do not take off money for commission as the plans were for an online auction.
