How do you prove authenticity?

Hello again =) I was just wondering, when you are selling autographs for an auction, how do you prove that they are authentic? I mean, if you know they are authentic, how do you prove it? xD

Hi Nammzi {up}

Thanks for posting :P

Basically, if you are collecting for charity then most celebs/agents will send you a letter with an autograph. This then becomes your proof of authenticity.

It is not worth producing your own certificates as most of the time buyers are rightly sceptical of "C.O.A's" a genuine letter from the celebrity or their agent does wonders for proving authenticity :D

Also, always keep the envelope you receive the auto in. Collectors usually want these when they buy autos from you :wink:

Hope this helps!

No problem :P

I can also be worthwhile asking for a brief covering note from them if possible to confirm authenticity.

The worst they can do is NOT send one :lol:

Good luck!
