Charity Auctions

Hi all,
I would like to ask the more seasoned collectors who request signed memorabilia for a charity auction a question.
When writing a letter, when you state "It is our hope that willing celebrities will be generous enough to donate signed memorabilia or photographs for auction" or something along them lines, do you actually receive anything other than signed/PP photo's? And if so, roughly what percentage of requests actually result in different memorabilia?
The reason I ask, is that in my letters, I have stated what is mentioned above, but for my charity auction, it would be nice to receive other items as well as signed/PP photo's.
Many thanks in advance, and best wishes
Stuart
