what would be the best thing to write to get signed merchand
hi i am probally sending some stuff tomorow but i am not going to start charity collecting for a while but next time i send i am sending 3 or 4 charity requests. anyway i like to write my letters a few weeks in advance so i would like to know how i should request to get a couple copies of the sisterhood of traveling pants books autographed(by ann brashares of course) and who and what to write to get a cast signed hannah montana script. any help would be great and i hope when i send in a few weeks that i could raise alot of money for the two charities i am supporting incase you are wondering i am sending for the canadian cancer society and the canadian humane society.

Hi,
I don't tend to ask for specific things in my requests because I'm happy with the pictures to put into the charity auction.
However, if you'd like something specific - you should say 'Would it be possible for you to sign xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx?' - and they may do it. If you do specifically ask for something, give a reason why you want that particular thing. Just be polite, ask politely (not 'I want this...', 'I want that...') and provide suitable postage for return and above all else - say something like 'Thank you in advance' as they want to know their help is appreciated.
Hope this helps!

the scripts on eBay could very well be fakes, and I think an authentic script would be pretty hard to come by, especially through the mail..
i dont know but it doesent hurt to ask thou, butwhat are the directors going to do with the scripts after the episode is done being filmed?
ps i apreciate you guys being polite about this i will give you guys positive rep points for it

You're right, it doesnt hurt to try, but just try to not get your hopes up..
heres what i am going to write dear...(i dont know the directors name write now) i am a huge fan of the show you direct hannah montana etc ( i will write that i am a fan and write it like a normal fan letter , when i get to the point of asking for the script this is what i i plan to write) if i could please have 2 cast singed scripts for a charity auction i am having for the canadian cancer society that would be great the reason two would be amazing is because i know they will sell for a lot of money for one and with two you will get the double the amount) mr.... you dont know how much this means to me thank you so very much from a very greatfull fan anthony(name printed by hand and also have the charities logo at the bottom the actuall letter will have better grammar and punctuation)
