Some Tips for getting vv (via venue) responses:

1.Always send the mail a week before the performance so that your letter arrives to the venue early incase they have letter processing Tim before they can pass it on to the artist.

2. Write hold for and the artists name and performance date on the first line of the address.

3. If you are expecting an autograph returned include a sase ( self addressed stamped envelope with your name in both the sender and receiver spaces ) with a piece of thin cardboard inside. Write do not bend on both envelopes. Also, most artists don't carry photos with them on tour so include some of your own or include an index card.

4. Decorate your envelope with color ( making sure it doesn't interfere with the address ) because most artists would rather open a colorful envelope than a plain one. And it will catch their attention if there are many letters.
