Concert venues- how long?

I'm thinking of sending a letter for one of my favorite bands to a few of their venues on their upcoming tour.
How long in advance would you say to send the letters?

I tend to send mine about 6-10 days in advance. and write on the envelope

I try and make it so the letter gets there two days before the concert. I find anything earlier, and it does not get passed on.

Look at it this way - the longer the venue have it , the longer they have to lose it or forget about it :roll:
