They will begin filming only in february next year.

They´ll begin to film on Feb 12, according to New Mexico Film Office

i havent sent anything via venue yet, so sorry if this question sounds dumb or anything.
but if i want to send something out when would you recommend me doing it?

You will want to send once filming has begun. If you send before filming has started it is very unlikely the production company/movie set will hold your letter for the celebrity you are trying to get an autograph from. Not all production companies pass on fanmail either as some are private sets and such. But there are quite a few that do.
