It Looks Like Filming Has Been delayed unfortunately As The Following update was posted ona SJP fansite

Sex and the City fans will be disappointed to learn that the sequel to the movie has been delayed.
Filming in New York has already been pushed back until the end of August and now sources claim plans to film in Dubai have upset the government of the strict Muslim nation. A source tells Us Weekly, “The UAE authorities aren’t keen on the title because of the word ’sex’.”

I heard that too, but I also saw on tv (just recently) that the crew is looking for background people for filming. I am not saying doubles, but people waited for hours, dressed top notch, wearing amazing clothes, shoes, Monolo Blahnik (spelling) shoes, etc. just to be seen in the movie. The lines were long and it looked like American Idol lines, except for a movie instead. The tv channel states the crew was doing it for days to start filming once they had their people. I can't give you an exact date because they didn't state one. Just giving my 2 cents and what I heard/saw on the tv. Never usually watch it or the news.
