They actually have cast the lead role (just yesterday I think), it went to Rooney Mara. I don't think ScarJo and Emma Watson were ever really in the running, it seems like the director was set on casting a lesser-known actress and all the final candidates seem to be virtual unknowns.

Lol, just after posting that, I read the lead has been cast! I think I read that if Fincher decided not to go with an unknown, he would have chosen Scarlett. So far, the only big name involved is Daniel Craig I believe?

on imdbpro it has changed it has 2 locations one is in sweden the other usa does anyone know whats happening are they filming some in usa and some in sweden?and the lead i think is Rooney Mara they also have daniel graig in there too

Neither Scarlett or Emma is in the movie. Rooney Mara will be playing the lead role.
