Sending items to be signed via venue (please help)

Hi I was wondering about how many days in advance I should waite before mailing someone via venue.
A week? A few days?

Obviously depends on where you live and how far off the venue is and also if its a concert where they are only playing 1 night or is it a movie where they are there for weeks or months ? Just use your best judgement and try to get it to a concert venue a few days early and a film set around the first week of filming.

It's indiana to NYC and its only a one night concert.
