First off, I'm fairly new to posting to this website, and I've never used the VV portion. I apologize in advance if this is the incorrect spot. Admin, please redirect this to the appropriate place if needed.
Anyway, I just saw the list of Game of Thrones actors who will be part of the GOT panel at the 2015 comic con. I never used VV, but I would love to get almost any GOT cast member. Since I live in the USA and nearly all cast members are in the UK or elsewhere in Europe, this is really an attractive option for me to try and get a few successes without having to pay for international postage.
Has anyone used this route before? (yes, I tried searching but couldn't get a clear result--esp for GOT actors)
Thanks and sorry again if this needed to be moved

Re: Comic Con Via Venue Question
Not sure it would work either, but I could be wrong. The guests will surely be too busy to reply to fanmail :s I've never been to a convention so far but as you have to pay to get autographs there, they would probably refuse to sign mail stuff for free. I don't know though, this is just an idea. Good luck if you decide to try
the GOT cast are very nice people!

Thank you very much for your replies. I guess I'll just suck it up and send my requests overseas to the more permanent addresses.

Re: Comic Con Via Venue Question
You'd think, logically, that all of those replies are correct. Free autographs mailing to a convention when everyone else pays to attend and then pays for autographs?
But many years ago I wrote to the Star Wars Force II convention organisers in Melbourne. I wanted to attend but I had exams at the time. A couple of weeks after the convention I got a parcel back with goodies from the convention plus a program signed by guests: Kenny Baker, Jeremy Bulloch, Steve Sansweet & a comic book illustrator, whose name escapes me. Lucky I'd assume, but it can happen.

Re: Comic Con Via Venue Question
As you said. But might I point out, that Melbourne is a 3M person city. Hardly tiny. The request, as I said, was quite some time ago, around the time of the original Star Wars trilogy re-release, in anticipation of the prequels. Star Wars was a bit hotter back then, regaining its popularity. And mine wasn't a paid request. As I said, it can happen. Unlikely. But did me no harm and I had no expectation of a success. In fact, I can't even recall if I requested autographs, I might have only written to express my lament that I couldn't attend because of exams. Just reporting my "successful" experience.Greg2600 wrote:Well I did say that some smaller conventions will take paid requests via mail/web. Secondly, those names are all low level, certainly not as hot as GOT are right now. As I said, it's a nice idea, but SDCC is an utter madhouse.

Smaller conventions may pass along or fulfill your request but I highly doubt you'd see anything back from SDCC.

Re: Comic Con Via Venue Question
You can TRY, but most comic Con TV and Movie guests charge at least $20 per autograph, but if you are only asking for one, send a little money with it. It's a gamble either way.

Britney Spears==>> 6 #1 albums. 2 diamond albums. 8 platinum albums. 400+ awards. 200M+ records sold. Britney has sold over 45 million records this decade despite only releasing three albums. Globally, Britney has more #1 singles than any other female artist except Madonna and Rihanna. "Oops!...I Did It Again" by Britney is the 5th best selling album of the 2000s decade worldwide. Britney is the only female artist to chart her first seven albums in the top two of the Billboard 200. Britney has achieved at least one #1 album in 3 different decades (90's, 00's, 10's). Britney is the first solo female artist from the 90's to reach 1 billion Spotify streams. Despite NOT even being a single, 'Tom's Diner', ft. Britney , has become Giorgio Moroders best-selling digital track. 2015 Billboard Awards ratings reached a 14-year high, with numbers peaking during Britney's performance. She IS the princess of Pop.
