On Dec 29, 2011 Chad was at the Silver Snail in Toronto for a book signing. It was supposed to start at 5pm and was estimated to go to 8pm. I got there at 4pm and I was number 226! I later learned that originally the Silver Snail had 250 books and when Chad arrived, he brought an additional 50 books, so that was a total of 300 people he met and signed books for.

The Silver Snail is fairly small, so they wasn't enough room for everyone to wait inside. In order for everyone to know when their number was being called, they told us to follow them on Twitter. So I went and grabbed some food and then I went to Chapters and read his graphic novel, Everlast. It was interesting and the illustrations were cool. I was getting really antsy because I was by myself and I saw on Twitter that Chad came 20 minutes late and it was taking a long time for everyone to go through. The reason is was taking so long is because Chad was very personable. He took the time to talk to each person and if you were the talkative type, you would end up having a lengthy conversation with him.

8pm was coming around and they were nowhere near my number, so I went back to the Silver Snail to see what was going on. I got there and the store itself was closed to the public, but they remained open for the book signing. A group of people were sitting out in the back of the store (Chad was upstairs), so I found a spot for myself and sat down. Time felt like it was going by so slowly. 11pm came around and I was still waiting. They finally called a group of numbers, which included mine to line up on the stairs. I started to get nervous now. I'm very shy and I didn't know what I was going to say.

I could finally see him from the line and he was very sweet to everyone. I saw his fiancee Kenzie, sitting down nearby. We were told we could bring an additional item for Chad to sign. I have this, I don't even know what to call it, but it has a picture of the One Tree Hill cast. On the back it talked about the music from Season One's soundtrack. I got it years ago when Tyler Hilton had a street team and it was sent to me along with some other items.

When it was my turn to meet Chad, this lady gave my book to him and said "Chad, this is Sheena" and he leaned forward, extending his hand saying "Hi Sheena, I'm Chad." In return I awkwardly said hello. He had someone wearing an Everlast shirt who offered to take pictures for me. After I handed him my camera, I also placed my One Tree Hill picture onto the table. When Chad saw it he said "Wow, I haven't seen this in a long time. Very old school." Then he picked it up and asked me if it was from a record. It does appear to look that way, it's thick and is the same size as an record sleeve. Plus it says 'Music from The WB's television series One Tree Hill'. I told him I wasn't sure as I got it from Tyler Hilton's street team. He then signed my picture and my book. I then went around to get a picture with him. He thanked me for coming and apologized for the long wait. I thanked him in return.

I left there at 11:45pm. Seeing how I was number 226 and he had another 74 people to go, he stayed past midnight to meet each fan and sign their books. Even though it was a long wait, he definitely made up for it. I have been a One Tree Hill fan since I was 16 years old, so it was really great being able to meet him.

he is taking soo long for his fans, very nice of him but not easy to wait so long for everyone.
