Chris Hansen IP Success!

This is kind of an old one. April 2009, one of the days I've tweaked out over something awesome the most.

I went to NYC on a school trip and it happened that Chris Hansen (me being the only person who really knew who he was. Busts pedophiles on ABC. How is that not awesome?) was doing a news interview outside of Saint Patrick's Cathedral. I buzzed through the Cathedral and booked it outside to see him. Of course, my collecting-self's nature stored a Ziplock with 3 colors of sharpies, a pen, and index cards in it. Freaking out, I told him I loved the show and that I would appreciate it so much if I could have his autograph because I love his hilarious work busting pedos.

Of course, that request all came out in a big jumble of words, and he told me the next episode would be airing Sunday at 7PM. I didn't get to watch it because we were at a Broadway show at that time. Anyways, I gave him an index card and the pen. I tweaked out the entire time he was signing it and everyone else in the group thought I was nuts. He was super nice in person, so if you ever see him, he's not hostile or rude at all, so don't feel hesitant to approach! (:

Then, something horrific happened. We got back to the hotel that night and I accidentally forgot the bag with the index cards, sharpies, pen, and AUTOGRAPH! in it on the table in the lobby! D: I freaked out about it in the morning, went down to the lobby, and BAM! It was there. NOBODY STOLE IT. NYC AND NOBODY STOLE IT. Fantastic.
