Big day of WWE

Unread post by onewild&crazyguy »

my buddy had called me up and told me that JRs blog on his site said he was flying into town for raw in bakersfield on sunday the 18th so we checked what time the planes were arriving. 12, 6, and 9. we showed up for the 12 and he wasnt on that one later we showed up for the 6 and he was on that. He signed a card and took a pic with me.

we talked to him outside and he told us what hotel he was staying at and the hotel shuttle (which showed up 5 minutes after his taxi) guy confirmed it and that there were gonna be other guys too. So we decided to wait for the next flight and if no one was on that wed go to the hotel. The next flight had Val Venis and Eugene. Eugene was nice Val was on the phone (both signed and took pics) and some guy there was being a jerk so airport security thought he was with us and made us all leave.

We took off to the hotel security said that since there were only two of us he didnt mind us standing there so we stood outside saw a few guys they politely turned us down. It was late so we understood. Vladimir Kozlov came by and got pics with us
Image

it was about 3 in the morning and we were ready to leave pouring rain outside when the next car pulled up he took pics with us we didnt ask for anything more cause we saw his family there as well
Image

Early the next morning we were there and got pics and autos from a few guys....Dean Malenko, Skinner, and the greatest one to that point for me Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat

We saw IRS and he was checking out so we were waiting for him when we got a call there was another guy at the gym about 3 blocks over so we waited for IRS (he signed and took pics)
Image

So we took off to the gym and met probably the best one of the whole day who signed and took pics with us
Image

after that we headed back to the hotel to see if there was anyone left and got Ron Simmons

Finlay and Michael Cole

Both said no that night but the next morning did sign but no pics.with michael cole if you watched the ppv No Way Out he was very sick and by the end of the night JBL was calling all the matches himself. Cole said he didnt want to get us sick but he would sign.

Finlay signed for me and my friend (discreetly) but wouldnt take pics..... Little kids were nearby so we figure he was staying in character for them cause he was very nice

well as a HUGE wresting fan, this is one of the coolest successes I have seen yet. Congratulations. I've met a few of them but it has always been thru a "meet and greet" avenue ya know. I took my 2 kids to a meet and greet lunch at an Outback steakhouse a few years ago to and got to sit at a table with JBL and Ron Simmons when they were still a tag team. Now I take the kids to the world of wheels auto show when it comes to St. Louis cuz every year they have a few guys who appear to sign. We've met Matt Hardy, Bill Goldberg, Batista, and Randy Orton so far. All of them have been really cool. Goldberg and Hardy were by far the best and most personable. Batista and Orton are very much just sign and move on type of guys. Which I guess is ok too... as long as we got the picture and signature from them! But congratulations again... you have given me some really cool ideas about how to meet alot of other guys when they come into town that I never would have though of before!

and if I'm correct, the picture of you standing next to "The Great Khali" is absolutely hysterical. That dude is 7'4, 400+ lbs of solid muscle. Even when he goes against guys who are 7"0 - 300 lbs, he makes 'em look like midgets! That is a great photo of you 2!

Yeah the head of security at the hotel asked Khali how tall he was (after he stood outside in the hallway while his family checked him in cause he didnt feel like ducking again to get thru that door too) and he said 7'3 so that was pretty funny he was a full 2 ft taller than I am. the only bad thing is I found out a couple days ago we missed edge at the gym by about an hour :(

That is unfortunate but dude.... the ones you were able to land are just awesome! Especially that Cena one! I would try printing out those pictures and sending them to WWE HQ and see if you can get them to sign the picture that you appear with them in! That would be awesome too! And you won't have to worry about losing your picture because even if they don't sign it, you'll still have the picture saved on your hard drive. Even if only 1 or 2 of them sign, it's better than nothing! Worth a shot anyways!
